Purvis Outdooors was started as a taxidermy business that expanded into Coon Hunting and outdoor supplies. I began coon hunting in 1984 and continued through high school and college at N.C.S.U. After this it was time for a career in the Swine Industry, getting married, and starting a family.

My favorite dog PR Turkey Creek Music died in the summer of 1998 and my Son Seth was born shortly after. It was my hope that he one day too would carry on my love of hounds and he has done just that. We got a bluetick pup soon before his 5th birthday and we have been at it since.

When I got back into coonhunting, there was no one at the local hunts to provide supplies and service to coon hunters in our area.I started out with a couple tote boxes with few collars and a couple lights. Thanks to all of the loyal customers Purvis Outdoors has had tremendous growth over the past several years. We provide services such as our loaner light program to show our customers how much we appreciate their business. We look forward to serving your needs in the future.
